About Leah
Since childhood, Leah knew that she would become an artist. With support of her loving parents, her art education started at a very early age. Having 10 years of painting skills prior, she was accepted to Hong-Ik University, widely known as the best art institution in Seoul, South Korea. Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a focus on painting, she soon began her journey to be an animation artist in Los Angeles. After finishing her MFA in Experimental Animation at CalArts, Leah started her professional artist career in 2006 as an illustrator and a motion graphics designer specializing in creating unique characters and environments. Over the years, she fell in love with digital painting bringing back 20+ years of her traditional painting training. She has been working as a background painter for top animation studios including Disney TV Animation, Warner Brothers Animation Studio, Netflix Animation Studio, Cartoon Network and more.
